Reverend Michael Clinkscales was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Albany State University (Albany, GA). A natural athlete, Rev. Clinkscales played football during high school and college. Following a successful collegiate career, he went on to coach football at Albany State University and Johnson C. Smith College (Charlotte, NC).

In November 1999, Rev. Clinkscales married Ms. Michelle Brown. From that time, he served faithfully with his wife as an Elder, Singles Minister and Youth Pastor at Rock Christian Church of Charlotte. He also earned his Bachelor of Biblical Studies from the International College of Bible Theology and holds a Master of Ministry honorary degree from Midwest Seminary of Bible Theology.

Commissioned in 2002 by the Holy Spirit, his Bishops, John & Anne Gimenez, and his Pastor, Errick Redmond, Michael, along with his wife Michelle, were ordained as Pastors and sent out from the Rock Ministerial Fellowship of Virginia Beach to establish the Rock Church of Atlanta. Today, Rev. Michael Clinkscales pastors a ministry which aims to train and equip the Saints for the work of ministry and to restore the total and complete person (spirit, soul and body) back to Christ. Rev. Clinkscales has seen his ministry grow from a three member congregation inside of an elementary school in Southwest Atlanta to an ever expanding congregation on six acres near Hartsfield Atlanta Airport.

Locally, Rev. Clinkscales serves his community in many capacities. In addition to his daily ministerial duties, Rev. Clinkscales founded the non-profit organization, Hunger No More Outreach Inc. in 2002, which has since become a valuable community resource in the effort to end hunger and rebuild broken lives. Rev. Clinkscales has made it his goal to partner with and help strengthen other local churches to make a greater impact in the community.

Rev. Clinkscales also strives to influence the lives of the inner-city youth in the  community.  He is a Chaplain and support to many college and high school athletic departments and park recreational teams. Each year, he sponsors high school athletes to attend Albany State Football Recruiting Try-Outs to give young men the opportunity to be awarded college scholarships. He is also in partnership with 8-Time Mr. Olympia, Lee Haney, in the Modern Day Knights Mentorship Program for young men. Rev. Clinkscales also oversees a free Athletic and Academic Summer Camp for youth ages 5 to 18.

In addition, Rev. Clinkscales is the President of the Forest Park Ministers Association Board of Directors, sits on the Planning and Zoning Board for Forest Park, is an active member of the Clayton County Ministers Conference and the Pittsburgh Ministerial Alliance (Atlanta, GA). Nationally, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Rock Ministerial Fellowship (Virginia Beach, VA). Rev. Clinkscales works diligently to establish partnerships with organizations, elected officials and individuals in an effort to not only impact the city, but to see that the Kingdom of God be established in the Earth.

Rev. Clinkscales and his wife have six children: Noah, Dekemeny, Rashaad, Abraham, Isaiah and Wisdom.
