Hunger No More Ministries
Designed to help in the fight to end hunger in our communities, this ministry is continual, as the need is presented; we are on call & ready to act. These Ministries assist not only the homeless but low-income individuals and families as well. H.N.M.M. supplies food, clothing & counseling for those in need. Our Food and Clothing Pantries are open Tuesdays through Fridays for any and all individuals who are in need and Hot Dinners are supplied each Sunday at 2:00pm for the hungry.
Each winter, H.N.M.M. feeds hundreds of people on the inner-city streets of Atlanta through our Thanksgiving and Christmas Feedings. Hunger No More Ministries has teamed up with other local outreaches and churches (such as United Way 211, Kroger, Publix and the Fresh Market) that have a heart for those in need and desire to see a change. With our joint effort we will make a difference!
Nehemiah & Ruth House
Our Nehemiah & Ruth Houses are designed to help restore men & women back to their rightful place in God. These ministries provide housing, financial classes, jobs, education and accountability for those who are recovering from drug addiction, alcoholism, bad budgeting, bad decision-making and more. Housing for single parents who need to re-establish themselves after divorce is also provided.
Under the Nehemiah & Ruth Programs, professional counseling to help deal with any mental, physical or emotional scaring from the past & present is also provided. Partnerships with such organizations as Recover Atlanta Consultants, The Furniture Bank and Making a Way have proved beneficial in helping us to aid those in need of restoration.
Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry, Generation Revelation, is a group of young adults on fire for Christ. This ministry provides a place where our youth can come daily and hang out in an environment that strengthens & encourages them while building a strong Christian foundation and a sense of responsibility. Our Youth ministry is a refuge for troubled teens that need to know their self worth and purpose in life.
We have programs to help benefit our youth educationally, such as, computer classes and Tutoring to help with their basic Math, Reading, English skills. Our Youth Ministry also has counselors on duty at all times to help our youth with personal and social issues that they might experience daily. There are also group sessions that are a part of the Modern Day Knights Programs (sponsored by Lee Haney) which are held twice a month on Sunday Mornings to strengthen our youth in the Word of God. Youth Night Services take place every Last Sunday Night of the month in which our youth display their God given talents and use creative ways to share the Word of God.
Friday Night Alive is a teen club that is open every last Friday of the month to provide a Christian Teen Club atmosphere that is safe for kids to come dance, eat and fellowship. Young Men and enjoy the opening of the Youth Basketball Season with the Lions Basketball Team early in each year. Yong men and women alike have the opportunity to take part in the Fit for the Kingdom Youth Body Ministry, receiving educational nutrition tips, working out in the church gym, attending seminars, participating in dance and learning how to keep their bodies healthy.
Camp Rock is open during the summer months providing summer recreation, field trips, and more all coupled with the Word to provide spiritual growth for youth while out of school. As anyone can see, Generation Revelation is always on the move and walking in their God given purpose.
Children’s Ministry
This ministry helps develop our children’s relationship with Christ, by using basic fundamentals such as, puppet shows, drama, music, dance and more. These activities illustrate the life of Christ and the relationship our children should have with Him. We also provide different types of outings, games and videos that strengthen and provide entertainment and fellowship for our children. This ministry meets twice a month on Sunday Mornings as well as on other occasions for field trips, etc.
Single’s Ministry
This ministry trains, equips and prepares singles for marriage and teaches them how to allow God to be their main focus until that day comes. This program deals with real issues singles face and helps them to become whole as an individual before marriage, we accomplish this by holding group sessions, outings, singles conventions, and other events for singles. This ministry meets every other week for two hours.
College Campus Ministry
This ministry is designed to help strengthen and keep focused, our college students this ministry will also help our students to deal with peer-pressure according to the word of God. This ministry will cater to the needs of our college campuses that are most needed. We plan to deal with these issues by holding meetings for all students once or twice a month on campus or off campus.
Men’s and Women’s Fellowship
This ministry provides an environment to help strengthen & encourage men and women, single and married, young or old, which are in the Body of Christ. We reach our goals in this ministry by having group sessions that deal with current issues in the lives of the people attending the sessions. Special speakers come to share biblical information and personal testimonies to help provide additional encouragement. This ministry meets once a week at the church or another designated area provided by the leaders of this ministry. Recreational activities are provided entertainment and fellowship.
Body Ministry
This Ministry provides physical fitness and health tips for the work of the ministry. In this ministry we demonstrate the proper way to exercise with weight training and aerobics to build strength and endurance. Information pamphlets on proper dieting and weight loss are distributed to all who are interested and Nutrition tips are shared by our very own Nutritionists each Sunday Morning. There are Professional Weight Trainers available to share this information as well. Rock Gym is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for all interested in coming to weight train, do cardio, participate in aerobics and much more. There is no Admission Fee and all are welcome to attend!
Praise Arts Ministries
These Ministries are designed for the Church to put to use their many gifts and talents and through them provide strength, encouragement, inspiration and entertainment for the body of Christ. The Praise Arts Ministry consists of
the Heart of God Praise Dance Team, the Rock Church Music Ministry, poetry and theater/drama and includes people of all ages. A Visual Arts Ministry is included and is designed for those who are skilled in painting, designing (stage & clothing) and drawing. The work of this ministry will be displayed in the future Rock Church of Atlanta Art Gallery as well as in publications.
